Listen: http://bit.ly/bNOL4C / http://bit.ly/b4Dj6e / http://bit.ly/bYpjNPOn Arcade Fire's latest album, they take the most ambitious and immediate elements of their previous albums, and feed them into americana-style songwriting. Standing at an hour, it's a long freaking album, and it's thematic, too. If you're a fan of AF, this album won't be a surprise, and should prove to be a real show of growth.8/10http://theneedledrop.comhttp://bit.ly/TNDSupporthttp://bit.ly/TNDTwitterhttp://bit.ly/TNDFacebookhttp://bit.ly/TNDPodcastFAV TRACKS: MODERN MAN, WE USED TO WAIT, CITY WITH NO CHILDREN, SPRAWL, MONTH OF MAY

Aug 18, 2010 - this guy is such a pretentious idiot

MicahBuzan Says:

Aug 19, 2010 - don't get me wrong, the album is exceptional; however, i feel they have been milking off the same lyrical teet for the past three albums. it seems many lyrics have been recycled from past albums. that being said, there is some truly powerfull songwriting on this record and i recommend any who have not heard it to go listen!

Aug 27, 2010 - "Whether this album is good or bad, whether Arcade Fire is good or bad, is all opinion."Ah yes, and the purpose of this "review" is to discuss OBJECTIVE FACT? :P

Aug 27, 2010 - Arcade Fire hit the nail on the head with The Suburbs. They did a great job of bringing colour to this album even with its depressing lyrics

Aug 30, 2010 - Valid review <3

LardInATubeSock Says:

Aug 30, 2010 - how did I fracking know that it would be some douchebag white guy with a v-neck sweater and BLACK RIMMED GLASSES. LAME. Just LOL. Arcade Fire put out dogshit in a bag, and this wanker would be saying it is the greatest thing. LOL @ "the instrumentation". Dude, this is pop music, the world's greatest musicians are stressing about how Arcade Fire will put them out of a job. IT is an okay album that would've gone nowhere if no one knew who they were. BTW, good review. ;)

abeamt Says:

Sep 1, 2010 - I disagree with that the album is depressing. As a kid who spent several years growing up in the Houston suburbs (same as the Butlers), this record not only made me feel nostalgic, it made me proud. To date, I don't believe that my personal feelings of Houston has been summed up as well as AF has now done. Comparing it to AF's other albums, I would say that it doesn't have the energy of Funeral, nor the hooks of Bible, but it is far more mature and important than either. Far more beautiful.

Sep 1, 2010 - @diekontrolleure i disagree, hes usually right on with what i think of most of his reviews

BLURCEG Says:

Sep 2, 2010 - Ok review. Missed a few big points, but covered more than I was expecting. There is probably a very good chance this album will wim album of the year at the grammy's, but who really cares about the grammy's these days. All in all, I think an 8 for this album is a bit weak. I'd say a 9 would be more on the mark, but as said in this video, there's a lot of opinion involved with this kind of review. In my own personal opinion, this is the best album to come out so far this year, hands down.

Sep 2, 2010 - gointoit.com is the best website to get this song.

gsa219 Says:

Sep 4, 2010 - Are you freaking kidding? How can you not like Half Light II and Empty Room. They possess great intensity and grab your attention like Arcade Fire have never done before. Half Light II is just irreducibly complex, if you took away just one element from this song it would be lacking, they fit together so well because everything has its own part. The vocals are quality aswell, real passionateWhere was the criticism for songs like Rococo, Modern Man and Wasted Hours that don't really go anywhere?

a1579 Says:

Sep 5, 2010 - I found it very "easy listening". Solid rock music, but too appealing, boring

Sep 7, 2010 - I like your review but I dislike this thing about giving a score to music or art. for your knowledge you get 8+for the sound / recording I give you 4for your likeliness you get 6+bottom line it is not you!. you are not the artist you are not creating. please don't for get that. :)
